I’m curious, I’ve been looking at alot of dresses and would like
to have full length sleeves on my dress, but I can’t find any examples of sleeves being made with the dress so it doesn’t look like an add on, or a jacket.
If you have Any pictures or your experiences, please share.
I love the private label by g 1338, but I Need the sleeves.
Thanks for any info you can help me with.
Also, if you know someone who can do it, I’d appreciate that soo soooo much.

one of my close friends got married in a gown with long lace sleeves. It was really pretty and timeless and honestly it is one of the few dresses with the sleeves I have really liked. Sorry for the poor picture quality!

@dashamegan: That is a gorgeous dress!!! and the lace is one option I was thinking of. I also am looking at satin sleeves, and I haven’t see those yet, as the dress I want doesn’t have any lace, only bead work.

Have you considered looking at vintage patterns and having a seamstress make a dress for you? I thought of having my grandmother’s wedding dress altered to fit me (she was very tall and very thin), but ultimately decided against it.

@Mrs Grape: I have looked at vintage, but I’m so totally in love with the private label by g dress. lol, I guess I’m going to have to go by faith. I’m totally nervous.

I had a gown with satin 3/4 sleeves made to look like my grandmother’s wedding gown (as hers was damaged). Just a little advice, satin sleeves do not stretch and therefore it was hard to lift my arms above my shoulders… I changed into a reception gown with draped sleeves so that I would be more comfortable. Good luck!

@HapaBride: WOW!! your dress is stunning!!
Thank you for the warning about the sleeves, I hadn’t thought about that.
I wish that bridal shops had dresses with sleeves to try on so I didn’t have to imagine them, lol.
Thank you for showing me pics of your wedding dress, I hope that mines turns out as good.
Where did you get it?

Pronovias Iman has lace sleeves:
Le Spose Di Gio had a whole collection of these (which are all pretty similar with subtle differences – I like 14 best):
I don’t know how current they are, or if they’re still being produced (I saw 14 in a recent magazine, so they must be), but you can find out or maybe get a used one if you like them.
I really feel for you, because I know how ridiculously hard it’s been just to find a dress with straps. Finding one with sleeves will be even tougher. 🙁 I promise if I see any nice ones, I’ll let you know. I’ve spent the last 20 minutes or so going through my bridal magazines because I KNOW I saw one with long satin sleeves. I thought it was a Pronovias, but I haven’t gone through their website yet because I might be remembering wrong. If I find the picture back, I’ll let you know which dress it is.
Also, if you found a dress with the right kind of straps, a good seamstress could probably build in satin sleeves for you.

Take a look at Temple-ready dresses for LDS brides which are required to have sleeves.

I second that.
Latter Day Bride and something like… Eternity Bride? online have a nice selection of dresses with sleeves.
I bought a dress off Etsy with sleeves.

I did NOT want a strapless dress. The only way I could get sleeves is if I ordered extra fabric and had them made–extra expense of course. finally I gave it up and just got strapless. Davids Bridal does offer sleeves as an add-on. http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Long-sleeve-with-beaded-floral-motif.-LS1

I love all of those dresses!!
I gues my question should be, how would you add sleeves to this dress?
I am so in love with this dress 🙂
