Lady Sapphire: Gorgeous dress!!
Aire Barcelona has long sleeve and also 3/4 sleeve shrugs/jackets/boleros that are either lacy or sheer. I’m sure other designers have similar add-ons.
Take a look:

@michelle314: WOW!! Those are beautiful!!!
Hmm, I wonder if they’d make one into a full length sleeve? I’m a little old fashioned but I like the sleeves that go all the way down to my finger. 🙂
Do you think that a lace jacket would match this dress, as it doesn’t have any lace?
Let me know what you think, girls! You’ve all had some great ideas!

Landy Bridal responded and said that they can make the dress for $349!!
I’m waiting for response to if they can add sleeves.
Keep your fingers crossed!

@LadySapphire: I hope they can add sleeves! It is a gorgeous gown! Now, do you have to have sleeves or are you also considering a bolero? Is it possible to order extra material and have a dressmaker/seamstress add sleeves in the same material?
As for my first gown (ceremony dress) I had that made because I just couldn’t find a gown with 3/4 sleeves and a Princess Anne neckline (plus I was wearing it for a second wedding in Japan and it needed to be modest). The second gown was a vintage Valentino that my dressmaker practically gave me because during the final fittings for the ceremony gown I was really concerned about not being able to lift my arms. (I wanted to be able to dance my behind off during the reception…) She found this gown she had in storage and we added some material to the bust-line (to cover-up a bit more) and she added the sleeves. It was actually very easy for them to create the sleeves and it only took about 10 days and 2 fittings! Have you tried on gowns with a bolero? Then you could see the general neckline and would have a better idea as to what type of sleeves you would like. Good luck!
@Miss Tattoo: Thank you! I liked it!
@dodgercpkl: Thanks! I was lucky… the second dress was very comfortable and fun to wear!

I have seen some beautiful gowns with full length sleeves. The one that I thought was just fabulous had a lace top that could have been removed like a jacket… but was designed so that it hooked into the bodice of the gown so that you would never think that it was removable… I think that the top was a straped gown… sorry I don’t remember the designer… it was at a local bridal shop… (in the window) when I helped a friend shop… The shop has closed since then… but this dress was truly lovely! The sleeves were really unique full length with ruffles!

I would like to have full length sleeves, also because I need the neckline moved up and could use a little added support in the bust area.
I just got another email back from landy and they can make it with full length sleeves, no change in price!
I hope you don’t mind me using your dress for inspiration, I’m trying to create a sketch to send to them. Your dress is so very beautiful!!!
