My fiance and I just found out that our wedding falls on a full moon (June 26, 2010). My fiance is very superstitious and wants to move the date. Do you think we should leave the date or change it? is a full moon a good or bad omen?

I think as far as the phases of the moon go, as long as it’s waxing or full your fine… I heard it was not so good if the moon is waning. Take it all with a grain of salt though!

From everything I’ve read, it’s supposed to be a good sign. Then again, I’m not superstitious.

I’m not sure as far as luck goes, but it would make for some excellent pictures!

hmmm, i wouldnt be too worried about it. i bet it will be magical when you look up at the moon and its full!

Umm, are you getting married at night? I got married at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. It was sunny!
I would not care what phase the moon was in for my wedding. Do you really think changing the date of your wedding is going to affect the long-term success of your marriage? This is one superstition I would not worry about.

We were planning for a full moon wedding, as the full moon has special significance to us… but based on certain restraints (photographer availability) we had to alter our date.

Just to clarify, I don’t really care if it’s a full moon or not. I especially don’t want to have to start changing plans that I have already made. I think it will be beautiful and I don’t think it will affect the success of our marriage. My fiance is the one who really dislikes the full moon thing. Our wedding is in the afternoon, but he is more concerned about the reception. He thinks people act really wierd on full moons and he doesn’t want our reception to be crazy. I will admit, I am a nursing student and people in the hospital do act a little crazy on full moon nights. I just wanted to see what other people thought.

I have family who work in hospitals and they all notice the full moon effect too 😛 My mom also had a nutso ex who seemed to be in an EXTRA bad mood every time there was a full moon, but other than that, I’ve never really noticed a difference in the every day people around me. It should be fine 🙂

My venue is starting to offer full moon weddings. I would love to have one. We picked our date and it’s a couple of days after the full moon, but it sounds like an awesome idea.

My fiance proposed on Friday the 13th. These things are what you make of them.

i’m in the mental health field, and i definetly believe things get crazier during full moons after seeing clients go a little crazier on those days. i don’t think it would effect your marraige, i just wouldn’t be surprised if things seemed a little off during the wedding day.

I don’t know if its good or bad… but just expect people to act extra crazy. Weddings already bring out tons of crazy emotions in people & during a full moon I’m sure its just going to be heightened.

I think it would be sweet to be married on a full moon. I don’t know what the superstitions are but I love the moon. Whenever me and my FH are apart, we always look at the moon. Plus, you could take some awesome photos if you,re stsill partying at night.
