I keep changing my mind about the style of dress I’d like. I orginially thought I wanted a red or colourful dress, but now I’m thinking a white dress with a red or fuchsia crinoline.
One thing I know is that I’ll need a little bolero or shrug because my arms are big bingo wing arms.
I don’t want to be covered from head to toe and have it “obvious” that I’m insecure about my body…so now I’d like to consider a shorter gown.
My legs are heavy, so I don’t want anything TOO short either. I’d love to see some PHOTOS of plus-sized brides in a shorter gown. THANK YOU!

Dolly has a shop in NYC now. Join her Facebook. Dolly Thickel. Just friend request her and she has tons of albums up!
I thought I wanted a short dress, but I just didn’t end up feeling bride enough. I’m plus size. I will probably be ordering a bridal 20/22. Who knows. We pushed the wedding back a few months so I’m working on getting down to an 16/18
Here I am in short dresses. I am getting the last one for our Rehearsal Dinner

omg…those are ALL lovely dresses! I think I’d want mine a LITTLE bit longer, even if the length was created by some lace poking out…
Thanks, I’ll look up Dolly on FB!
More pics, anyone? So far this looks positive!

Here is my dress, it’s a size 18. I love, love love this style also! Mine is in ivory. I can’t wait to wear it…4 months to go!! Oh, and I got this for a steal off of Ebay. Bought it a size smaller than what I wear so I am down 16lbs now and can fit in it :oP The dress is originally from David’s Bridal – in case you are interested :o)

@lmmcnutt:OOOhhh…I love it! I better go try that one on. I was on meds that put 45 lbs. on me in 4 months…so I’ve been dieting. My “usual” size is a 16-18 and I’m a 20-22 right now.
Maybe I’ll contact you next year and see if you want to sell your dress! In the meantime, I better go try some of these styles on. (quality control)
