i did a full hoop skirt under my dress and sooo glad i did it made my waist look smaller and i didnt need any hemming on my dress even though im only 5 foot! i really liked having the fuller skirt and more ball gown shape to my dress. and im totally biased but i love ribbon headbands i think they are something different from tiaras and very romantic and soft. i wore tiaras to prom in high school and did not want to feel like i was going to prom.

I don’t know. I really like the way it looks now, with the slimmer slip — it’s flowy and kind of ethereal. But it’s hard for me to picture what it’d look like with a fuller slip… it could look great. Have you tried it with a fuller slip? Or, if you ordered one, could you return it easily if you don’t like the way it looks?

I may be a little biased because I had a fuller slip under my A-line, dropped waist wedding dress to make it a little more ballgown-y, and I loved it. 🙂

@redhead46: The more I look at it, the more I think a fuller slip would look good. I like how it looks now, but it does look like it’s designed to have a more ballgown-y silhouette. I’d go for it.

You could probably go to a local Bridal shop and ask if you could try a full slip on with your dress and look at accesories.  I feel if they are not slammed they might be willing to accomidate you.
