I blog for a bridal gown company and just did one on Harry Potter-themed weddings, in honor of the movie coming out on Friday. (EEEEEE so excited!)
Anyways, just about every type of themed wedding has been done and can be created in an elegant and classy way.
So what about you, bees? What are themed weddings you’ve been to? What have you seen, or if you’re having a themed wedding, what are you doing?

@romanticone5555: Fantasy-themed. With a craptastic pic of me and my gown in my profile/gallery/whatever it’s called.
Complete with chocolate-dipped, rose-shaped, strawberry-filled cupcakes! (the tops will look like roses and dipped in chocolate with strawberry filling! YUM!!!!)

@romanticone5555: Probably not too unique but
Ours is mountain/camping/ vintage, we are getting married at a mountain resort ranch.
Smore’s kits, tiny mountain survival kit favors complete with personalized swiss army knives, clothspin table chart for guests, pie instead of cake, thin cut aspen tree for guests to “carve” on for guestbook, feathers in bouquets, hair, etc… tin can lanterns, camping lantern centerpieces, bonfire later, homeade liquer for later….. hehe….

In a former life, for my first wedding, my ex and I had wanted to do a Monty Python/Holy Grail themed wedding! It was going to be awesome… costumes, dancing, hilarity (movie-quote inspired ceremony and vows), and turkey legs. Family refused to pay for it, so it got scrapped for an aquatic/tropical wedding held at the Florida Aquarium. Ended up being much classier but still fun.

We are doing a vintage baseball themed wedding. We are getting married on a baseball field and having the reception in the club level. We are going to be introduced to the recepetion to “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” which is the Oriole’s 7th inning stretch song. I still want it to be classy though so a majority of the reception will be shabby chic with baseball touches. We are going to have cracker jacks on the tables, a candy buffet but with 1940’s penny candies. My fiance is photoshopping vintage baseball cards for place cards, etc. However, we are also going to have lots of shabby chic elements like love birds, burlap, mason jars and milk jars. If it comes together as amazing as I see it in my head it is going to be the perfect mix of our two personalities!

We are having a Vintage Shabby-Chic 1950s inspired wedding.
I know its not unique here on the Bee, but to my friends and family it will be very unusual to have a ‘theme’,
i will have vintage birdcages filled with flowers, tea and cream cakes will be served on the lawns…..(very british)…….while photographs are being taken. there will also be champagne and strawberries served….not everyone likes tea and cakes! LOL
i once photographed an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding and it was beautiful….
