We’re having a joint celebration but I don’t know what to do. We’ve thought of camping, kayaking, paintball but forgot a teensy detail in the mist of all the brainstorming: our wedding is in January! So many outdoor events won’t be possible. Any suggestions?

I don’t know if they have places ike this by you but around Chicago where I’m from we have a fun game called “Whirlyball.” It like a mixture of bumper cars, lacrosse, and basketball and it’s adults only with a bar. Here’s the link to the one by us. Super fun!

We rented a house near Killington and went skiing for the weekend for our joint party. It was a blast! We all hung out during the day and then on Saturday night we seperated and the girls went out for a girly night out at the bar. The guys stayed in and played drinking game/boxed/sledded. It was so nice to come back at 2am and be able to snuggle with my love that night! The next day the guys went skiing again and the girls spend the day at the spa getting massages/nails done. It was a blast! Definitly the best of both worlds!!!
I actually planned a joint bachelor/bachelorette party when I was a Maid/Matron of Honor in my bestest friends wedding. We rented a house in Dallas. The 1st night we all had drinks and hung out at the house grilling out. The next night the girls took a limo downtown and did your typical bachelorette party activities. The guys also took a limo and did the guy stuff. We came back around 3am and partied together for a few more hours until we all fell asleep at the house.
For my party most invited were couples which made sleeping arrangements nice. For hers almost everyone was single (besides her and me) so the sleeping was all the girls bunked together and all the guys bunked together….. 10 yr old sleepover style 🙂 Both were super fun!!

I love this.
If you want something like paintball but indoors (and less painful) what about laser tag?

We’re also doing a joint party! Our wedding is destination for us (we’re on the west coast majority of our friends/family are back east) so what we’re doing is having a bon fire the Wednesday before our wedding.
Luckily our family has the land for us to do this in a big fire pit. During college this is what summer breaks were filled with, and what my fiance grew up doing with his friends, so it’s a pretty special activity to us as it always brought all our friends back together when we were on breaks.
We’re planning drinks, snacks, music and relaxing by the fire!

WHIRLYBALL IS AMAZING!!!!!! A. Ma. Zing! We don’t have it in my current area or I would totally do this!! I think it’s somehow even better that the place we went to in Cleveland had really unpredictable cars so you could never reliably get where you wanted.
I agree with other previous posts. Also, what about a game night?

Just posted this on another board, but if not everyone is up for skiing, there’s also a snowtubing option! If you get a cabin nearby, you guys can always get a campfire going outside for s’mores. Or just do a hot chocolate bar inside (a very DIY one).
