We have one son already. Ideally I would like 2 more boys and 1 girl. We’ll see. I’m already having a tough time convincing Fiance to agree to have another one.

I wanted 0 and got one! Girls are much more independent than boys. If I ever have more I hope they are girls.

In saying that. I love my 1 but it’ll freeze over in he’ll before I want any more. single motherhood is hard! My bf said he wants kids in future, I said hell no. He must be delusional if hethinks I’ll come around to wanting more!!! Kinda wierd isn’t it? For a female that’s “red flag” territory – do guys not see flags?

To the person asking for comments on 0 voters… I have one unplanned 4 yr old who I adore but I voted 0. I wasn’t prepared to have kids and not be a sahm mum. I’m a working single mum now things never go as planned. Her dad didn’t want me but he is a good dad. I voted 0 because that was what honestly wanted all my life. I don’t know anyone in nz who can afford to be a sahm mum and I know lots of mums. Ones who can are on welfare! It’s a real shame but a complete reality. Save for it people say but our avg wage is like us$25,000 or less. I didn’t want to put myself thru the turmoil of not dedicating mysel to the task, or making a man feel like he can’t provide, or my child feel like a part time family member. But I have her and I do the best I can. Maybe one day I could marry a rich chief executive or doctor 😉 then stay at home and raise my child!

I guess if it were possible to raise a family on one income and be a sahm then I might consider it. But that is a huge rarity in new Zealand unfortunately 🙁

I voted two.  I’d be happy with any and any sex just healthy.  All my brothers have girls so i’ll probably have all boys!

We’re expecting identical twins right now (still shocks me to realize it!) and we don’t know the gender – it doesn’t matter to us.  But we always talked about having 3-4 children.  I’ve put that plan on the back burner til we see how we manage twins but in theory I would still like to have 3 or 4…in theory!!!

I want 4 he wants 2 – I think well probably compromise on 3 but I hate the thought of  having a child that is the middle child!
