My favorite part is the actual party at the reception – dancing with your sweetheart, eating dinner with you honey and friends/family, celebrating the couple with toasts, taking pictures with family you don’t see a lot – I like the actual celebration best.

    At other’s weddings, the party.

At my wedding, the first three – all the ceremony!

I’m with cbee.  The cocktail hour and reception and getting to spend time with everyone who’s travelled to be there.

I always love the Ceremony! It is so meaningful and emotional, and everybody exposes their soft side ๐Ÿ™‚

When the bride walks down the aisle and I see her for the first time ๐Ÿ™‚

When I was a kid it was considered a very exciting thing to see a bride when we were out somewhere. Someone would yell “LOOK A BRIDE!” and we’d all run over to see. Grown ups would usually ask each other “was the bride beautiful?”. Noone would care about the poor groom ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess some of that hype carried over even though I’m 35. I’m always giddy to see the bride expecting to see some magic transformation from regular person to something of a wonder.

Mine was the time before the ceremony that we had to take pictures! We had a couple hours to take group pics and for my husband and I to take pictures. Everything was so relaxed and it was fun to get to hangout with my favorite people! And now i have so many amazing pics!

the little things some couples do at the alter, holding hands the whole way thru or a little giggle or a small joke.  like your being let into their little world, you can see how they react.

I feel like I have to make a disclaimer – I really don’t care for the ceremony, usually.  I am not religious and the ones in church make me uncomfortable and I usually find all ceremonies (Don’t hate me anyone!!) pretty dull.  I do think its sweet when the guy has a very emotional reaction to the lady as she comes down the aisle, but not enough to actually enjoy the ceremony or look forward to it…
