Got an extremely generous gift of $650 intended to be spent on jewelry. A bit shocked by the kindness of the gift giver, and I have no idea what to get! So I created this just for fun post to get ideas.
Ideally I’d get 1-2 peices of jewelry. At least one I could wear on the wedding day, but in general I’d love some high-quality everyday pieces. I love yellow gold, and interesting, elegant, unique things. Love the website catbird, although $650 isn’t much to spend there!
Would love any ideas and thoughts. Thanks!

anonocat: what’s your dress like? Mine screamed pearls, while my best friend looked better with diamonds

It depends on the dress, but I would go for a high quality locket that could be passed down and some nice earrings or a bracelet. Something like
This. Maybe with earrings like

I would just be sure to buy fine jewelry. Pearl diamond studs are beautiful and you’d wear forever.

Pearls would not work with my dress. Gold jewelry and diamonds or gemstones would work perfectly! It doesn’t have to be bridal classic, I’d be happy for some colour.

I love the jewelry BHLDN has right now. Lots of bridal-ish pieces, but several I would wear other times as well. You could get a few really pricey pieces or several mid-price ones.
Some of my favorites:

I’d probably spend it on diamond stud earrings, but I’m pretty borring when it comes to jeweley.

I would use it for something that you can wear again. Maybe something engraved with your new initials, or you and your FH initials? What’s your jewlery style? Or invest it into a piece that can be passed down to future children. But I wouldn’t use it just for a piece of jewlery for the wedding only, as that would be a huge waste of $650 IMO.

Personally I love Elizabeth Bower, but BHLDN also stocks beautiful, unique pieces that are in your price range!
