Before marriage, I will have a very common 1980’s middle name: Lynn

After marriage, I’m dropping the name and using my maiden name instead πŸ™‚

Mine is boring….

Ann.

Both my mother and grandmother have Ann as their middle name, though, so we’ll probably try to incorporate it if we ever have a girl.

Mine’s Elizabeth after my Grandma. My Granny and my mom both have Jean, and my mom said she always hated it so much that that was a tradition she didn’t want to pass down. Everybody thinks I’m named after my mom, Patricia, but my dad just always wanted a daughter named Tricia…he just randomly married a Patricia.

I’m going to include my daughter’s name too, since I haven’t seen it yet [and I doubt I’ll ever see her first name]: Dazzling Aurora.

@candy apple:  I work at a hospital and once had a dad tell me that they named their newborn son Denali “You know, after the truck.” So funny that you said that!

Mine is Alisa pronouced Ah-Lisa. I was semi named after my mom’s mom. Her name was Ali but my grandma hated her name so they added the -sa to the end. I really like it although most people say Allysa.

@LissaBabyxo:  That’s my Mom’s MN too! She was born on Christmas Eve and all the nurses called her “Baby Noelle.” So it stuck, as her MN. πŸ™‚

Mine is Jean. I hate the name itself, I’ll be honest. But I love the family connections, so I kept it. My Nanny (mom’s mom) is named Marina Jean and my Am-Mama (dad’s mom) was Jeane Ann. I don’t think I’ll be passing it along unless we have two girls, because my first girl will have Noelle in her name somehow for my awesome Mom. πŸ™‚
