This seems really contrived and tryhard-y.

iarebridezilla:  well i missed the other thread, so apparently i’ll be the only one who answers you in a non-butthurt way. i think this is a fun thread as long as you make it one. 🙂

i would wish for a massage chair for my office. of all the things in the world to wish for this is CLEARLY the most important, and i want it. i want it now! genie where you at

Was there some other way to take pretend you’re a “youngster battling a grave illness” and trolling the Make-A-Wish foundation?

I would wish that the person who farted in the elevator simply acknowledged their lapse of manners and went on with their day, instead of hanging around in the elevator spraying perfume everywhere and prolonging the fart stink.

I would wish for a time turner like Hermione has in the third Harry Potter book so that I can read/sleep/watch TV while also working or taking care of my child.

Horseradish:  Just snorted water out my nose, thanks for that!

I wish that I’d get home and the little House Cleaner Fairies had spent the entire day there, sprinkled rose petals on my bed, drawn a hot bath for me, and got me a bottle of champagne to sip whilst I soak.

iarebridezilla:  Youd revise her wish? Wow its rude to create a thread asking for wishes and “revising” wishes to fit YOUR vision.

iarebridezilla perfectly describes you.

MrsHalpert:  No one is butt hurt. They were deeply offended by a post that down plays the seriousness/makes fun of the Make-A-Wish foundation and the wishes granted to dying kids. I guess if you have never had a family member need to make a possible dying wish, it is easy to think people are over reacting when someone tries using it to make themselves look witty in such an offhand way(without succeeding I might add).

franklymydearidont:  i think she was revising it because my wish was too useful still. she asked for wishes that would in no way be a good decision because they’d be basically nonsense when you could wish for a million dollars, world peace, etc. it wasn’t offensive.

Bridey77:  like i said in my comment, i missed the first post so i can’t comment on anything that was said. wasn’t there, no input. but what i see in this post is someone who clearly realized she had offended people, intentional or not, and took down that post and put this one up to get her same message across of what would you wish for that would be a total wasted wish but you’d still ask. and everyone jumped down her throat about it; there’s no such thing as an appropriate joke (that’s why it’s a joke), and what crosses the line for some people might not for others. but it’s not like she’s still talking about it, everyone else is.
