so for the last couple of days I’ve been trying to get everything done for this damn wedding that’s in a little less than two months. Yesterday I woke up with hives on my face and I cannot stop running to the bathroom. (Sorry tmi!) I think I need to find a way to calm down.
tell me what weird stuff happens to you when you’re stressed and more importantly how you handle it. Any pointers?! Help a girl out!

Cheekie0077 : I have been having a bathroom problems for the past month. I got infenction in my tooth (probably not stressed related but I am blaming it on stress) and I have dry peeling patches of skin all around my face. I have been trying to cure it for a week now.

- Wedding: March 2014 - Chicago, IL
My face sweats when I’m nervous. Which really sucks for job interviews, because a lot of people think face sweat = lying.
During our wedding vows my face was sweating so badly our photographer took a bunch of pics of me wiping my sweating nose off and said, “Oh! I thought you were crying.” Nope, my body just hates me.

I drop weight like CRAZY. Stress rarely makes me gain it.
And the shakes! I get the shakes, lol.

Depends a little, but: hives and redness all over my neck and the ol’ eye twitch.

If I’m stressed enough I can’t actually eat and keep it down. My eyebrow hair starts falling out too. I might have to draw my eyebrows on for our wedding If I get REALLY stressed in the lead up to it lol

I get super overheated and start sweating. My chest will get red and splotchy. And I get suuuuper clumsy. Like I’ll just start dropping everything and running into things.
I just have to stop whatever I’m doing and just stand or sit there and breathe for a little bit. I have to let go of whatever I’m stressed about, at least for the moment, until I get myself under control. It’s much easier to do this when my SO is around, because he’ll recognize when I’m getting overly stressed and he’ll calm me down.

Same as you, hives and tummy troubles (woke up to a face covered in hives on my wedding day 😱!). I also get painful mouth ulcers during periods of high stress.

My neurological disorder flares up and I lose feeling in my extremities. I use lavender to help me relax like candles, oil, bath, shampoo, tea everything and that normally helps and if not I just deal with it.

FutureDrAtkins : Me too! It’s awful isn’t it. Mine is almost always my upper lip so my foundation washes off and it goes white. Fake tan never takes on that spot either 🙁 makes you feel gross and self-conscious doesn’t it.

I get headaches and teenage-level acne. The stress is all in my head!

I get all the fun ones – breakouts, insomnia, teeth grinding, stomach pain. Lucky me! At least I don’t get migraines, I have so much compassion for people who suffer from them, I can’t imagine.
