(Closed) Funny initials?? Silly, but STILL. What are/were yours?

    Nope, who cares.

Yes. They were or were going to be weird.

I'm not changing my name, forget it!

JRP to JRPS… I can honestly say I love every part of my name – the old one and the new one

    (I’m a hyphen girl)

Ugh! Mine are going to be BJ… or BLJ (bulge?!). I am seriously dreading it and haven’t used our initials (his first name is J too!) anywhere in the wedding because of it.  But I will still change my name and deal with it, I know it’s not a huge deal and I’m probably the only one that will notice… hopefully!

I’m either not changing or hyphenating his-mine. In any case, I wouldn’t be bothered by the initials unless it was really something foul (KKK, maybe?).

Well we are creating a new last name together…. so we are going from KJK and JMJ to KJV and JMV. I don’t see any significance in those letters lol but I will miss being able to say “KK & JJ” 🙁

@DoctorAndDoctor:  funny you should say that… mine are 1 letter off from KKK! (KJK) My father begged my mom to make my middle name be “Kimberley” but thank god she didn’t let him!

My initials didn’t change because my madian name and married name start with the same letter.

Mine will go from MEE (sounds kinda self centered) to MEO (close to meow? Call me the crazy cat lady).

We will definitely not be doing any monogrammed stuff, as it would all read “MOM.”

Coincidentally, my mom loves the monogram idea, and thinks we should use it as a cake topper. Haha

My current intitials are ANM. I attend Texas A&M University (whoop!), and they sound the same when you say them out loud. I just remember my freshman year, I labeled my folders/calculator with my initials. It was unreal how many people would comment on it, “You know that isn’t how you write out A&M…right? After my first semester, I stopped putting my initials on things heh.

When SO and I get married, they’ll be ANT, so he has already taken to calling me ‘Bug’ as his cutesy little nickname!

My initials would stay the same (MJC) but I am still not changing my last name.

@Pokemon:  Google the Mercedes SLK.  If I had the money, I’d totally buy one.

One reason I dropped my maiden name when I got married was that if I added DH’s last name after it, I’d have BS as part of my initals.

@ellisrobertson:  Prat is fun to say but since it means “your backside” I am still really against changing my name!
