So, thanks to a relative, I recently learned that I was a “surprise” baby. Not that it really matters, but my mom definitely told me I was planned (there are 7 years between me and my next-oldest sister). Now I know why she would get so irritated when people referred to unplanned pregnancies as “opps” babies, lol.
My husband and I were both surprises.. so I was wondering (if you happen to know), were you planned or a surprise?

Hmmm… Other? I was planned to my mom but a surprise to my dad. =X

I was definitely a surprise.
And I’m also an only child.
Coincidence? PROBABLY NOT.

I was a double surprise! I was adopted (surprise to the teen who got pregnant!) and then a surprise to my parents (who were told ONE day before getting me!)

I was a long tried-for baby, my parents went through a horribly sad emotional time before I was born (I am not getting into it) but it resulted in them not being able to conceive for 5 years, then finally my mom got pregnant with me and the other four after me came quickly and easily afterwards XD

@MissBoPeep: lol, I’ve added in an “Other?” option for you. Hadn’t considered half of the responsible party being in the know, but that definitely happens!

I was planned. And then I surprised my parents by being 10 weeks early. 🙂
@KristenGotMarried: Haha! I’m sorry to laugh, but the way you worded that is fun-ny!

My mom never told me. But my brother confirmed my thoughts that I was a surprise baby. I figured it out personally because I was told I was completely on time and when I counted back one day, i realized my mom had to have been two months pregnant at their wedding. I asked my brother and he said that I was indeed a surprise but that they were going to get married anyway.

Oops! There are 11 years between my sister and I and 13 with my brother.

I was a surprise. I always joke that I was an accident but my brother was a mistake.

@morkiemama: lol, me too! Except my adoptive family were given one week notice, not one day. 🙂

I have no idea, but I’d guess planned.

Pretty sure I was unplanned, although it’s never been confirmed. My mom found out she was PG after getting drunk as a skunk at a party. Not really something you do if you’re actively trying to conceive…
