I love my gyno because he is so funny!

The very first time I went in (ever!) to a gyno was to him, and the second he walks into the room, he said, “So when are you going to give me some babies!?” LOL

And he asks the same question each year when I go in! So I finally told him that my Darling Husband and were going to start trying in 2013 we think. So he goes and writes a big “2013” on my chart and circled it! haha. I love my gyno. 🙂

When I was a teenager in the mid-90’s my mom went to a new gyno who clearly did not review her chart.  He asked her for the date of her last period to which she replied “1981”.  She had had a hysterectomy and obvoiusly no period since.  I bet that doctor felt stupid.

My OBGYN once told me I had a beautiful cervix. I think they all just say random things to get through the day. 🙂

haah that sounds so funnY! It reminds me about my first gyno, who I just adored! He retired after having severe back problems =(.  He was so friendly, and used to call his patients names like “boo boo” or “baby girl” lolol..I could imagine how some patients didn’t like that about him, but my dad & him went way back, they both went to school together, so I was told to expect all that name calling.

Picture this, my first EVER gyno experience, I was 16 years old.. he is doing the examination down there and he begins to ask about my dad lol..totally awkward!  But I miss him =( I haven’t found another gyno like him.. now I go to a woman who isn’t friendly at all, but does her job and does it well, so i’ve settled.

My old gyno once told me that I have “wonderful breasts” but I never figured out what she meant.

My GYN is great, friendly, and makes me comfortable, but I’ve not really gotten anything “quote-worthy” from her that I remember.

the doctor who delivered my son was a great great doctor. she also had no filter. at all lol. she would say things like “you have a great looking vagina, some of em are a bit scary but yours is fantastic!”   lol if you knew her personality this probably wouldnt seem as bad as it sounds. my ex used to walk out of our prenatal appointments like wtf?  she once said during a visit “well lucky you! she has a really long vagina so im sure that works out well for sexy time eh?”  he was like ummmmm idk? lol. she was like this hippie rocker ish type lady and she was fairly young. she made sure to warn me of her ways when i first went to meet her. she basically said flat out that she said what she was thinking always and would always be 100% honest and have really open lines of communication with me and my guy. well she wasnt lying about that! thats for sure!

@pinky44: I was told I had a beautiful cervix too!  She even called a student in because she wanted to show it to her!

@Mrs. Gremmlin: She asked my permission first.  I didn’t care!  It’s not like I’m ever going to see that student again.  They were simply on the OBGYN portion of their various rotations.  If they can learn something by checking out my “beautiful cervix”, I’m happy to help!

@Mrs.KMM: I WOULD FREAK OUT! I dont care how ‘pretty’ my cervix is, noone is staring at it! My mom was told after her colonoscopy that she had a ‘textbook colon’ and was asked if she would allow them to show footage of her test in a film for medical students. I was too stunned to remember if she said yes or no.

My gyno is new for me, since I just found this practice this year. It took me a long time to find one I liked. Since I was nervous, he told me a story about his dog and I laughed really hard. Probably not the smartest thing to do during a PAP.
