@LadyBear: Can’t contribute yet since our wedding is a ways off, but your second one made me laugh so hard!

We had a shuttle that was going back and forth from the hotel, reception and bar for the after party. Apparently the shuttle took multiple trips through the McDonald’s drivethru for my friends!

We did candy as favors, and apparently while our guests were dancing, our little ringbear (five years old), went around and took all of the uneaten favors from the bridesmaids’ and groomsmens’ tables. He went home that night with a LOT of candy!

LOL I love these!!!

I haven’t been able to speak to lots of guests post-wedding but I’ve heard about a few that were pretty stinking amazing…

1. I had 2 flower girls (a 8yo & a 5yo) and the 8yo went first to lead the way and scattered petals like a pro (she’s been a Flower Girl like 3 times) then when the 5yo went she apparently was a little conservative when scattering her petals so by the time she reached the front of the aisle she had a lot left over in her basket so she just turned the thing over and dumped them all out! lol Apparently everyone burst out in laughter! I can’t wait for the video!

2. My nephew was also a novice and actually I knew to not trust him to be a ring bearer so I made him a bell ringer cuz I thought he’d like to make all that racket (he’s naturally a very rambunctious 3.5 yr old). When we practiced at the rehearsal he was just fine walking downt he aisle, no big deal but on the wedding day, there was all these new things (aisle runner, petals, etc!) so he was really confused! I guess when he got to the aisle he didn’t want to step on the petals so he was like jumping around down the aisle trying to avoid them! Everyone was cracking up… again, can’t wait for the vid!

3. We had a stretch excursion limo shuttle from the yacht to the host hotel and back 2 times so post wedding I was on the 2nd shuttle because i was doing all kinds of wrap up things… Apparently the first shuttle had some of my friends, new inlaws and my crazy uncle Ron. I guess he apparently had a bit too much too drink and was the last one in… he superman dove into the limo with such vigor that went he landed on his side ALL HIS SHIRT BUTTONS POPPED OFF/OPEN revealing his naked belly/torso! Everyone burst into laughter and his wife gracefully got in behind him and started to help him button back up… lol I wish I woulda been there!

…I hope more funny stuff comes out as time wears on!

I missed a few funny things that happened before I could walk out.

My flower girl didn’t come the right before so she didnt have a clue what to do. She didnt throw the flowers until she passed the second row and then started throwing them at the guest instead.

My cousin who is 7 was the ring bearer and he was so scared that he would loose the rings that my aunt tied them on the pillow she thought she tied it loose but she ended up tying it in a knot and one of the grromsmen had to whip out a knife right in the middle of the ceremony!

I didn’t know if before hand but people bet each other that I would toss my bouquet into the chandelier … And I totally did!! Hahaha I figured at least people won money off of my blonde moment!

We had a team of two videographers film our day – one male, one female. Before the ceremony, the best man started telling my husband how attractive he found our female videographer how he wouldn’t mind getting to know her a bit, erm, better.

My husband had to cut him off rather hastily because he (my husband) was wearing a microphone – and our videographers are married, to each other.

Oops.

My husband said he apologised profusely into the mic, and they never said anything to us about it!

@CTbride2010:  sort of along the same lines, my brother freaked out about having t o wear a bow tie in my aunt and uncles wedding.  This was in 1988 so big hair bows were in style.  He kept yelling at my mom about NO BOWS!  We finally figured out he thought he had to wear a bow like I wore in my hair at the time.  He was only 4 at the time.

My other favorite was at a friends wedding everyone talked about how well behaved the tiny flower girl was during the chuch ceremony.   What no one realized (b/c she was small enough that you couldn’t see her over the pews) was that she walked up the aisle and they had a babysitter standing at the side door.  Babysitter collected the flowergirl and took her out around town for rides and french fries.  Haha.  And they didn’t see her epic melt down about not wanting to put her dress on earlier in the day.

Apparently while my bridesmaids were walking down the aisle, I was still in hiding, two little boys (who were not a part of my wedding) walked through the bm’s. One of the little boys was wearing a davey crocket hat. Haha, I just had to laugh about it. Not many noticed because they were all looking in front and the kids walked behind all the chairs but still, pretty funny.

My one flower girl has a habit of showing everyone her clothes. She ran up to me several times throughout the night to show me her pretty dress. (she’s barely 3 years old)

I heard  later in the night she lifted up her whole dress to show the photographer her underwear. O.O

Not sure if this is funny but we had a few people passed out in the bathrooms and I had no idea.

I came across a funny blog post with these photos.

I’m loving everyone’s stories.

A couple of my friends ended up going out afterward, getting kicked out of multiple bars, hitch hiking to Taco Bell, and walking home. I couldn’t believe all of this was going on while I was passed out in my hotel bed at midnight.

I guess my husband’s 8-year-old cousin asked him if he could borrow $5 when we were cutting our cake and stole all the gum from the bathroom…

I’m happy that I was so wrapped up in my own little world that I didn’t notice!
