This happened to me and my husband as well. My husband’s uncle was sent an invitation with a plus one and when we received his rsvp he had put himself PLUS SEVEN! We sent him an email politely inquiring who he intended on bringing and he replies saying his wife (fine) and his kids (high school age) and THEIR BOYFRIENDS (NOT fine).

We told him that due to the capacity of the venue we wouldn’t be able to accomodate his kids and their boyfriends. He said ok so we put him down for 2 and then he never even showed.

huskylove9999:  Ugh what a horrible situation. Just call him and let him know the deal. Thats all you can do at this point. We had a few non-conformists RSVP for our wedding too and I was making dozens of calls about a month before the wedding getting everything straight. Unfortunately, these are the things a bride must go through.

***NEVERMIND JUST SAW YOUR UPDATE.

oh gosh this happened with my uncle also! I only invited him, his wife and grown daughter then he RSVP’ed with his FOUR small kids! I sent him a text saying they were not allowed as no children were invited but there were invited to the rehearsal dinner. They came for the rehearsal and were 1.5 HOURS late then he brought them to the wedding the next day!!!

They were not allowed into the Reception area as the venue coordinator was aware of the no kids rule and im so glad they enforced that. He and his wife alternated in sitting with them in the car. My dad tried to send food downstairs to them but the coordinator refused! Im so glad she stuck with me.

I like the wording that julies1949 used!
