My fiancé and I are having an extremely small ceremony next year (just his parents + his sister, my parents and my sister).
We have told them not to tell anyone else about our plans, as we want to avoid all of the “why aren’t we invited” type comments from everyone.
Despite this, his stupid and spiteful sister contacted a few people to tell them the good news and it has spread like wildfire. We are getting phonecalls from people asking when the ceremony is, where it is, whether there is room for their boyfriends/girlfriends/children etc.
We wanted to keep it a surprise and now we are having to “make excuses” as to why we are having a small ceremony.
What is worse, is that his sister has told my fiancés ex girlfriend. His ex is not a nice person and for a long time tried to break us up. I was happy about the fact that she would find out about the wedding afterwards, but now she is savvy to everything that is going on.
What can we do?? Help!
