- Wedding: July 2012
My Future sister-in-law is SUPER excited about her big brother’s wedding. A little too excited. She is about 20 years old and seems to be using my wedding as a practice run for her hypothetical big day. She constantly send me pictures of bouquets and cakes that are completely not my style. My fiance keeps telling me that she is just trying to help but I feel like she is just using my wedding as an excuse to buy bridal magazines, look at dresses etc. She guilted him into making me take her dress shopping and was completely not helpful the entire time and gave a huge guilt trip when I wouldn’t let her buy my something blue because it is already picked out. when I did take her with my mother and I dress shopping she wanted to be the center of attention, forcing her way into the dressing room (while I was half naked! Yikes!), taking the dress out of the store so that neither my mom or I ever got to carry it, and telling me where I needed to buy my cake. She even told me she should cater the event. How can I make sure my fiance knows that he and I should be planning the wedding and not he, his sister, and I. He doesn’t seem to get the concept of how she is taking over the responsibility and joy of planning my own wedding.
Or am I just being a control freak bridezilla?!? :/
