Hello again fellow bees!
After talking with a few of you on budget weddings, I have decided that I am in love with having our wedding at a farm, a state park, or some sort of pretty barn.
On the downside, I can’t seem to find any within my budget in the state of Georgia!
I know I can’t be the only bride who is looking at spending WAYY less than $2,000 on a venue alone- do you have any suggestions?!
Actual links, addresses, or names would be superb as well as just brainstorming!

The Rock Barn in Canton, GA ( http://www.rockbarn.org/rockbarnRental.php ) I’ve actually never been there but someone suggested it to me when I was looking for a venue. I’m getting married at The Chimney’s at Big Canoe the ceremony itself isn’t pricey but the reception knocks it up there a lot.. If you don’t mind the drive to Savannah, there are some gorgeous parks/squares all through there. Forsyth Square is my favorite & is where I originally wanted to get married.. Cavender Castle in Dahlonega, the property is gorgeous but I wouldn’t recommend it for the reception..

I love Forsyth Park 🙂 But I’m not sure what area you are looking in to? There are also lots of parks that you can rent out for less than $500 from the local “Parks and Recreation” places in your county.
My first thought is, unfortunately, pricey. But maybe you could look at it for ideas? It’s called Chene Rouge.

@Whoopsie Daisy: Forsyth Park is GORGEOUS in front of the fountain. *sigh* I still secretly want to have my wedding there, but it doesn’t make sense to with our guest list. Lol. You can rent out the space in front of the fountain for a fee, and then you have to rent the chairs and whatnot. It’s not super expensive though.
As far as the parks and recreation, you should be able to find stuff on each county’s website. It takes a little digging, but eventually you can find it. 🙂
Good luck! I haven’t read your budget wedding post, but you can definitely do it!

Forsyth Square for everything will run around $700 I want to say.. I actually was dead set on having my wedding there but every single Saturday from here to mid December is booked! And since its 9 1/2 hrs from me Sunday wasn’t a real option.. You have to pay the rental fee, a security deposit, and then if you have your reception with alcohol 2 guards.. Without alcohol I think one.. Its really not very expensive though at all & you reallly wouldn’t need decorations just chairs.. There are a few other squares/parks down there that are just as nice.. Also I’m not sure how close you are to McDonough but their square is actually really nice and quaint.
