@simone_s:  The moment I saw this ring on their website, I knew immediately this is the one. Once I went to the store to see it, I got it immediately…lol. The ring sparkles like mad in real life.

@simone_s:  My center diamond is 1.02 ct. For your refernce, my ring size is 4.75. Yes, you’re right. This style comes with different TDW, and this makes the prices vary. I suggest you go to see them in person if it’s possible. This will really help with your decision. But i think that the stock photos on their website are very accurate to the real thing. Good luck 🙂

@simone_s:  I don’t imagine so? I mean there is obviously a quality (and price) difference between anything sold in a chain store versus something handmade or boutique, but they’re all basically the same.  There are certain styles that manufacturers have issues with at times, so they come back from all of their retail locations (think- a pave wax turns out to lose stones often or something) but that is not store-specific. I’m just saying if you like a style in one large retailer, and then see the exact same one in another retailer for a different price, it’s probably made in the same place.

@simone_s:  thank you! I didn’t want a matchy set and besides, I honestly couldn’t find a band that matched my e-ring. The one that coordinates with it was curved and I definitely didn’t want a curved band. I wanted a band that could stand on it’s own and be worn by itself. I also fell in love with rose gold but my Fiance didn’t think it was “bridal” or traditional enough for the e-ring so I got it for my wedding band.

@simone_s:  Thank you!  Here’s the link for the matching wedding band to my engagement ring:

I’m not sure yet if I’ll use the matching band or something a bit different but with the same basic style.

I have a Gabriel & Co setting and I love it! My fiance picked it out by himself, but it was everything I had told him I wanted. I think mine is a smaller version of Corey’s above. The diamond is a family diamond that we had reset. I also ordered the matching wedding band, and I get to pick it up this weekend!

@simone_s:  Here it is!!! For some reason this is the ONLY (out of HUNDREDS) pic I could get to upload from my phone!  Once I sort that out Ill do an elaborate, pic heavy post, but in the meantime- Taaa daa!!!

EDIT: idea why it saves as a rotated smaller photo and keeps inserting the big, sideways version. but you get the idea! lol

How am I just now seeing this thread???

My ring is a Gabriel (#6711), bought from a local jewelry store that carries them.  I actually saw the ring in store, fell in love, went online to see about something similar (not because of the price, just because I was in waiting/research mode!), and found Gabriel’s website and realized this was the exact ring I saw.

I actually ended up ordering some samples to my store to view in person.  There were a few on the website that my store didn’t carry, so I got to see them in person.  They were great to do that, and I really liked working with them.  I also probably spent a quarter of my waking hours last year on their website..

And now for the pictures!

stock photo, and from trying it on in the store:

And here is mine!

Seems like I’m not the only lover of swirls on the profile view:

I love it so much, and even now I have not seen anything like it. The detailing goes nearly all the way around, and I just feel like when I show it to people I have to spread my fingers wide and move my hand all around so they can see every angle!

I did love Tacori rings from afar, but actually I never found one style that I was completely sold on like this one.  And the price was much better, obviously.

I’m going to get the matching wedding band for it too, which I LOVE.

@simone_s:  Yes, the difficult part is choosing one! (or letting him choose..but I wanted some of the fun too!)

And you had questions about carat size earlier..mine is 1/2 carat, my finger size is 5.5

The top photos from the store show it with a 1 carat.  I’m not sure if it is because the band is so thin, or the pretty detailing, but I never feel that it looks “small.” and in my head a half carat sounds small-ish.  It’s actually quite perfect though, and I like that it doesn’t overwhelm my band.  It’s almost like the whole ring can shine now, it’s not just the center diamond that is the focus.

Good luck with your decision!
