Just when you think you know exactly what you want to do for your wedding…
After deciding firmly to get married in my homestate of Washington, I stand here today a changed woman. I have to give it to you girls who plan long distance weddings, you all are MUCH stronger women than me! I bow before your greatness. (I’m totally serious here.)
Shortly after starting the planning process with my trusty Maid/Matron of Honor (who is back home in WA) as my guide I realized trying to plan things from afar just wasn’t for me. I was already stressing out over all the details beyond my control. So I talked it over with D and we decided to change our wedding plans. I love him to death for wanting to let me get married in my hometown and for considering all the feelings of my very large family but the truth is that I am VERY excited to to start planning a wedding in our actual HOMEtown. This is where we’ve built our lives, started our relationship, and planned for our future. It makes sense to do it here. I know this will limit the number of my family members who can attend but we’ll make it up to them with our Hometown Reception which will take place not too long after!
So now we can get busy planning our local, fall wedding (we always wanted a fall date anyways!)!
Anyone else make a BIG change early in the wedding planning process?
