We are hosting an engagement party for our friends. I have only been to one other e-party. My own! haha!
Any ideas on activities or games that people play?
At ours we had wto big sheets of paper on the wall and people wrote “advice for the bride” “Advice for the groom” That’s the only activity I know of.

a couple of bees have played the shoe game–i am going to steal their idea. i’ve heard of it being played at engagement parties as well.
i’ve also heard of a trivia game, where guests try to answer questions about the bride and groom (in teams, with prizes and such). i researched this at one point and found some stuff on the internet.

There are a LOT of different directions you could go with this depending on how many guests you are having, and how well they know each other and you and your fiance.
Misspug: I love the trivia. I think people have a lot of fun with that.
If they don’t know each other well, I recommend something to really get the conversation and mingling started like Icebreaker Bingo, which can be personalized to your group.
If they do know each other pretty well already, you could do some really fun stuff like Bee suggested, where they break into teams and have to compete to win a challenge, or a series of challenges depending on how long you want it to take. For example, the teams could have to solve a puzzle that incorporates some information about the couple, like in Across the Aisle.
It also depends on how formal of an activity you want it to be. There are tons of fun, casual games like Advice for the Groom that you can find on the internet, that guests can sort of meander over to and participate in when they feel like it.
I’d love to hear what you end up going with! Clearly this is a topic I’m quite passionate about. Have fun brainstorming!
