My dream engagement ring is a pear cut and would be close to my finger, which I prefer (clumsy).
I’d like to be able to wear my future wedding band on it’s own, so I don’t like the curved wedding band designs.
The gap will be pretty substantial, and the engagement ring band is pretty thin.
I love this ring, but I don’t want to be making a bad choice and getting a finnicky ring.

I just got engaged with a pear but I think a band would fit flush.
could the ring you’re getting be set with a higher setting by any chance? Personally gaps don’t bother me but if the setting is too low you might be out of luck. :/

Would something like this work for you? This is my set there’s an indent either side (so it doesn’t look strange by itself) but not actually curved?
