Count us in! Our wedding is on a Sunday, and we will leave for our honeymoon on Friday.
We are using FI’s parents timeshare and the week rental starts on a Friday. We will get married on Sunday, have Monday off (Labor Day) and then go back to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I think it might be a little odd to go back to work, but this plan works best given our honeymoon situation!
Do what works best for you and FI!

We’re waiting a couple of months. We got married March 27th and went on a short trip (3 days). We will be honeymooning June 19th-25th. My husband is in medical school so he has to focus on end of year exams right now and a really big test June 11th. I am actually really glad that we are waiting. It feels like we get another vacation!

we also have a small gap. our wedding is on saturday and we’ll be leaving the following friday or saturday for a 7 day cruise. i’m actually very relieved that it worked out this way because i’ll need some time to rest, clean, work just a few days and pack because i really don’t want to have to worry about packing before the wedding.

We’re having a huge gap…almost 6 months. Mostly because the Fiance and I want to go on an Egyptian cruise for our honeymoon and we want to go when it’s cold here to really ‘getaway’. I’m pretty excited about it!

I wrote about our “little gap” which was more like 18 months. 🙂

We’re having an 11 month gap between our wedding and honeymoon.

So happy to hear that we are not the only ones taking time after the wedding before we go on our honeymoon! We are waiting about 5 months after the wedding before going on our honeymoon for several reasons – mostly because of my work schedule this summer but also because of money (we’re paying for the wedding & hm ourselves) and because our parents are throwing us a second reception in our home state and we thought it would be fun to tie the Honeymoon into that party. Plus, we love the idea of having something to look forward to later in the year!

There will be 3 weeks in between our wedding and our honeymoon… The villa we’re renting was already booked the week right after our wedding, so we were going to have to wait at least a week anyway. So we ended up deciding to take our honeymoon during our “birthday week” — my bday is Sept. 15 and his is Sept. 16. So that will make it even more special. 🙂

We will have about 4 months between our wedding and honeymoon! We are going to Australia/New Zealand for our HM at the end of December next year (probably leaving Christmas evening.) Fiance doesn’t get a lot of time off work, so he’s combining it with his Christmas holidays.

Our wedding is on a Saturday, and we are leaving for the Honeymoon on the following Friday. We did this so we could include two weekends in our travel time, i.e. ask for less time off of work. I don’t think there is anything wrong with a gap, whether it be for monetary, scheduling, weather, etc. concerns or just because. 🙂

we’re taking like a 4 month break between our wedding and honeymoon. Some days, we think we should just skip the wedding and head over to our moon right away. we could stay a lot longer if we did that 🙂

We’re taking a few months in between our wedding and honeymoon. Fiance just started a new job, so he’ll barely have enough vacation time accrued for our wedding, let alone a full honeymoon. So we’re going to do the honeymoon later in the fall, once he has built up some more vacay time. We are going to spend a couple extra days at our wedding location as a little “mini-moon” though… so we won’t have to head straight back to work the Monday after the wedding.

I don’t think that it is weird at all… whatever is more convenient for you 🙂 We are going the day after the wedding, but we also aren’t having a destination wedding which could definitely lead to more exhaustion lol

We did it and I’m SO glad we did! It gave us time to reflect on the wedding and we still had something awesome to look forward to. Plus we wanted to take 2 weeks for the honeymoon and a full week for the wedding and we could never have taken 3 consecutive weeks off work. I didn’t expect to do it that way but I’m so glad that is how it worked out.
