I’m not a teeny tiny person, average size really but whenever I wear maxi dresses I get the dreaded “thigh rub” so I wear tight shorts underneath the dress. I’m wondering what you ladies have done to battle that under your wedding dress. I know it’ll inevitably happen and Im looking for any new ideas other than wearing shorts. Don’t mind wearing shorts under my gown but I’d like to get ideas!

I just got some of the nude colored spanx with shorts!

They say deodorant works well too. Or baby powder. I’m in the thigh rub club but didn’t do anything under my dress and didn’t notice it at all thankfully.

SkinnyLatte17: Bodyglide. Runners use it to prevent chafing.
Or, pettipants. It’s a half slip divided into pants.

Spanx. They smooth everything out and prevent the dreaded and painful ‘chub rub’.
That’s what I did anyway!

Spanx. Or a cheaper version of them.
Actually, cheaper versions are better in this case because you’re not buying for the “size control” aspect.
Buy a pair one size larger than is recommended on the packaging. They’ll go on and off easily, protect your thighs from the “rub,” and won’t add any bulk under clothes. I use them all the time in the summer under dresses.

SkinnyLatte17: Ugh, Chub rub is the devil!!! I have a lovely pair of lululemon running shorts (slim fitting), that I wear under all skirts. I wore spanx under my wedding dress, but the boning ended right at the middle of my problem area so I needed a little extra support that day 🙂

I used deodorant and it worked great.

I wore shorts like Spanx but not nearly so tight, which was much more comfy. I had a ball gown so I didn’t need to be sucked in – just avoid thigh rub. It worked great. I have also tried deodorant and it works pretty well.

I used Gold bond powder. I still do with dresses now in the summer time.

These are the ones I’m going to use for the big day. I rather wear shorts and know I’ll be ok, than try out a new product and got forbid it doesn’t work on me.
