These are so cringey, I would be in the bathroom during both tosses. I don’t want to watch your husband go up your skirt!  Save it for in private if he really wants too.

I personally hate the garter toss. We didn’t do it st our wedding.

Ugh, I hate these traditions. I accidentally caught the bouquet in a wedding I attended with my family some years ago (like, the bouquete literally felt in my hands) and I was forced to dance with the guy who caught the garter. I was already in a serious relationship (but my partner wasn’t in town) and he was with a date (he told me as if I had asked). We danced feeling like we both wanted to just fled the scene.

I second slowmotion’s idea of just having anyone participate in any event. You could even do a raffle and whomever catches the gartner and/or bouquet gets X small prize (for example, a coupon for a restaurant). Just, please keep in mind that as much as you and your Fiance love the idea…not everyone is a huge fan of it.

I have an alternate idea for the garter toss if you’re open to suggestions. Since there are only 6 single guys in attendance why not do a ‘garter hunt’ alone with your DH with the photographer? That way you can get some really sexy shots and no one feels pressured to catch anything. Here’s an example of a pic I found that you could emulate in your private garter sesssion if you decide to go that route.
