I created a post a while ago because I was desperately in need of help regarding the engagement ring my husband made for me. Well, long story short, I was not fond of the ring and with the help and support of the women who responded to my post I decided to take the plunge and told him how I felt about the ring. He was completely understanding and we decided to make a ring that I would love and would be more comfortable for me to wear. I decided to go for an 8 ct morganite in a rose gold setting. I’ve attached pics of the new ring along with a pic of the old ring that started everything. Let me know what you guys think! P.S. Please excuse my disgusting office carpet and I apologize for how large some of the pics are.

I love the new one, it’s so pretty, and talk about finger coverage (not knocking it, I thought that was your original ring at first)!
I think it’s a huge improvement, the original ring is nice, but really costumey, and I’m happy for you that your Fi was happy to compromise!

OMG. Holy. Stuff. What. That. Big. Jeezus. I don’t even have words to describe your original ring. I can totally understand why you weren’t comfortable with it!!! (sometimes bigger is not better) I’m not trying to be rude, but gamolythatstoobig.
Your new ring on the other hand is just stunning!!!! Like absolutely stunning, I love it. And look at that detail on the setting itself! <3

@Blingaddict0316: was your old post with a different account?

Oooh pretty Verragio, love it!

@Blingaddict0316: it took me a second to distinguish which was the OG and which is the new. IMHO this one is just as large and gaudy.
but if you love it then that is all that matters! glad he was understanding.

Out of curiosity how big was your original ring? PIt looks like you should be barely able to lift your hand with that thing!

@Blingaddict0316: I like it a lot better I don’t think I would’ve gone with an 8 ct center maybe 3.5 ct max that’s what comes off as costumey, not many people have such large stones.
what stones were in your original ring? Did you get to keep it too? Their both really pretty! I think with the original he either should’ve had no side stones or made them wayyyy smaller like .25 each

@Blingaddict0316: Your new ring is gorgeous! The original one had pretty stones but it looked uncomfortable to wear.

I would make the center stone of the first ring into a pendant and make the side stones earrings… if you kept it.
The new ring is… really big. Originally when I saw the first picture I assumed that was apic of the first ring that you wanted to have made smaller.
I do think the setting and stone are very pretty. Some people love big jewelry, so if you love it, rock it! Enjoy 🙂

@Blingaddict0316: It’s still rather large for my taste but your taste is all that matters 🙂 I like it a lot better than your original ring!

It’s still looks just as big? But congrats.
