Not engaged yet, but cant stop myself from looking for venues!
For our first date, we went to Pizza Hut and then to a great little State Park. I was thinking about having our wedding reception at that park. Have a two tier cake with a sheet cake, and have about two dozen pizzas from Pizza Hut delivered! LOL Im not sure about the pizza but i love this little park. It has a gazebo out on a tiny lake, and i was considering this gazebo as our dance floor. Do you think a 12′ round gazebo would be large enough for a dance floor for our first dance? Just our first dance? All the other dancing i would like to do in the park, because it has trees there arranged in a heart shape and the space inside the heart is quite large and all shaded and flat except for a few pinecones.
I would of course remove my heels when we leave the church, so i would be dancing in either flip flops or bare feet, and i am going to have my dress professionally altered to where it will bustle high enough to pull it up to my knees, that way the hem wont drag in the dirt. The park is free to reserve for the day, and its barely ten minutes from the church, on the same road.
Does this sound like a good idea? Is the gazebo big enough?
