(Closed) Gel or wax candles?

I did wax candle making when I was little and it wasn’t difficult at all. However if you are going to put things like holly leaves/berries you best use the gel and clear containers. That way people can see the decorations you put inside the candle. I think you can buy gel candle making kits that are already colored.

I made some decorated gel candles in glass jars last year to give my Future Mother-In-Law as part of her christmas gift, and let me tell you- they were a pain in the a*s! The gel was messy & full of bubbles. They came out pretty, but I was wishing I’d done wax by the time they were done (& I only made 4). Wax candles by comparison are much easier from my experience, but I’m no expert.
