I tried the dr scholls gel inserts for heels, but they just made my shoes not fit. I think I was doing something wrong though.

I used a pair of Dr Scholls for heels inserts, and I thought they were great.  I definitely still kicked off my shoes mid-way through the reception but mainly because the peep-toe opening was squeezing my toes.

I tried the Dr. Scholls ged toe pads and they just slipped right out of my shoes (although they were sandals, so if you have pumps they would probably be ok).  I like Foot Petals.

I’d love to hear more about this as well. I’m wearing pretty standard prom/wedding dyeables and am worried that my feet will start hurting during the ceremony.

I used Foot Petals Heavenly Heels to add some padding to the back of my shoes, and I was really happy with them. Most shoe padding will make the fit more snug, so if your shoes don’t have any wiggle room, they may not actually make them more comfortable. Definitely try them out before the big day.
