FutureMrsPannell: He sounds selfish to me. :/. I think it’s sad that you had to fight for a nice ring while he buys himself luxury items from Apple. I very much understand your frustration. He has been hurtful to you and I hope he will work on that aspect of himself so the two of you can enjoy a harmonious relationship.
I’m sure your ring will be beautiful, and I hope you love it.

Ok wait a minute….I read this thread and thought it said GE-N-ESIS Diamond Ring. I live in TN, and there’s a jewelry store called Genesis Diamonds, which is where my ring came from. I have an actual diamond, not a lab created stone. My bad. Anyway, good luck with your future ring. I hope you get exactly what you want!

FutureMrsSomeone: No problem and gemesis diamonds are actual diamonds. But I know how you might not know the difference so no worries

FutureMrsPannell: I’m also looking at a diamond from gemesis, however, my ring size is 3.5 and they don’t go that small. I’m lurking around and doing more research on Gemesis before getting the diamond. I’m worried about getting something not sparkly enough as the information they provide for the diamonds are too limited. They only offer stock photos and not actual photos of the diamonds … I recently sent an email to them asking for scope pictures.
anyway, I’m in a similar situation as you are, but I don’t consider my bf to be cheap. He recently bought a new exercise equipment at 2k, new phone at 1k, and thinking about getting a new bike (he promises he’d ride me to work everyday), but will only spend $2000 for the ring(s) (I’m considering a engagement + wedding band in one). I feel that, at the end of the day, the ring does not have to be expensive in order to prove how much he adores you. Maybe spending money on something impractical is just not his thing?
Don’t think that he’s a cheapo. the money he doesn’t spend now will go into the future home. 🙂
