gemabride:  Have you looked at sites like Preownedweddingdresses.com or oncewed.com or stillwhite.ca ?

Since you are in Toronto, there should be a good pre-loved market for that dress. Good luck!

There is a very famous company in China that does stunning replicas of this dress. Until the rules changed on the Bee, people posted about this company and its replicas all the time.

Poke around the Internet a little… you’ll find it.

gemabride:  my dress was a Vera (not the Gemma and I’ve sold it already).  As an fyi in the search process, her sizes run fairly close to street size.  I normally wear a size 0-2 and my dress a size 2.  (My measurements are 33-25-35.)

gemabride:  search Gemma on oncewed. The link works for me so I’m not sure why it isn’t working for you. It’s a Gemma in a size 2 for 1700 dollars.

gemabride:  I also thought the listing was odd.  It says the label is size 0, but size 2 is the smallest label size Vera has.  I am certain about that.  After hearing so much about how wedding dresses run sizes higher than street size, I was flattered that I fit into Vera’s smallest size.  And that was size 2, not 0.

gemabride:  I just saw where the label size says 0, but if you look at the description, the seller says the dress is a size 2. It could have been a simple mistake. She also says that she will provide the certificate and receipts. The dress is on model which is probably why the pictures are the same.

I’m not saying not to be cautious, I just personally don’t see any red flags. On the other hand, it’s not my money that I’m spending. It’s good that you emailed though; hopefully you will be able to get a better idea.
