Love it! I have a lab ruby as well and adore mine. 🙂

I think that it can be a mixture of both. Personally, I wanted something different. I chose a morganite for that reason and because I loved the meaning behind it. The fact that it is less expensive than a diamond was just an added bonus for me. That ruby ring is gorge!

Though I don’t usually like bigger gems, I think the ruby looks very lovely and classy. Beautiful choice if you do go with it!
This is my ring – our two favorite gemstones together, green tourmaline and smoky quartz. Diamonds are not for everyone 😊

That is a stunning ring!
I love coloured gemstones but didn’t want one for my engagement ring as I like my jewellery to match my outfits so wanted a clear stone – I was tossing up between a white saphire or a moissanite and I went for a forever one moissanite (well, SO did).

I love my dark blue sapphire. I wouldn’t change it for the world!
My theory is that my e ring is part of me…. it doesn’t need to match everything I wear. (Definitely my preference; can’t speak for everyone… to each her own. Not everyone is cool with it.)
That ruby is gorgeous!

I chose a gemstone ering because it’s exactly what I wanted. After the proposal I found out that the day I called my fiance to ask him what he thought of a sapphire ering, he was actually looking at diamonds. He then had my ring custom made and it was a total surprise.

meganandbabies: it wasn’t nitpicking – it is nearly impossible to understand what you are asking/saying when you fail to use punctuation.

I think gem stones are perfect as e rings. I have a morganite ring and love that it is different from the “standard” diamond e ring. I say go for it! If you love it, thats all that matters.
