longtimemrs :  What about yellow gold mixed with some white gold to make a kind of champagne color?

longtimemrs :  yes! I’m torn on the miligrain lol. (Omg phone wanted to say multigrain so bad!!!) I want it but at the same time not sure about it as far as texture between my fingers. I’m going to have to ask my jeweller if I can wear one of her samples around for 15 or 20 minutes when we go there next to replace my lost halo stone just to test it out.

As far as my stone I am either going to use the cute lab spinel I have currently plopped in a placeholder solitaire  or I’m going to get a lab  or possibly a natural sapphire cut from a cool Canadian cutter later on down the line and put that in a ring and the spinel in a bezeled pendant. Depends on funds at the time I get permission to release the kittens and go for it lmao.

Either way it won’t be for awhile. Unless things change and I am not medically cleared we are moving overseas so all the money is diverted towards that. Qqqqq!

Beautiful photos, all! I love seeing these stones in all their glory 🙂

This is the sapphire in my e-ring. It shifts from bright blue to purple depending on the light.

geauxgirl :  that sapphire is gorgeous!!

wildflowerbride2020 :  what a beautiful colour!!

longtimemrs :  Haha! I know. Autocorrect can be halarious! Sometimes when it tries to guess your next word it comes up with some halarious stuff. And yeah I had heard that about people and miligrain and even big eternity band stones. I’m looking forward to going and giving wearing the miligrain a try though. Visiting the store gives me life. Whether we buy anything or not lmao.

As far as over the top. I’m more in the middle. I like some details. Like miligraine or carving. I just don’t tend to like too much mashed together. But it’s good we are all different! Otherwise everyone would be the same and that would be so boring!

Like your purplish spinel you posted recently. I love that stone and the setting. It has a  fun look! How has it been wearing for you? I keep reading that either spinel ha durable enough for a ring or that only sapphires rubies emeralds and diamonds are good enough lol.

And as to my move, thanks I hope it goes well too lol. I’m not really looking forward to it but at least it will be a chance to go to see a few of the countries of our ancestors and go back to see my birth country again. So theres that!

And yes. I wish we could all have unlimited hobby budget. Can you imagine the jewellery we would have?? I can! Lol

longtimemrs :  you did? We need a new picture then lady! Does it look very different with some of it smoothed out?

And yes me too lol. I love the sparkly stuff. And yeah I’m finding it hard to want to wear this spinel because I’m so nervous to damage it. Its a custom cut from a hobbyist that looks amazing and I just don’t want to ruin it. Plus the people who set it set it way too high in the prongs and slightly off but because its a temp setting I’m not too bothered. It just means it lives in my velvet box except when I take it out for drooling purposes. I think whenever I do get to set it properly I’m going to feel better wearing it

You wouldn’t think I would be nervous to wear it either. My first engagement ring was an aquamarine. And my grandmother bought me peridots and aquas and other soft stone rings. The only one I ever destroyed was my cute jade snake. I used to wear everything constantly all the time and never had an issues with it. Maybe I just need to be brave lol. In the meantime I will rely on your lovely spinel to see how it does 😀
