Here are two of my gemstone rings. First one is a Chatham lab sapphire, second is an Indicolite tourmaline in a diamond ballerina setting:

I love everything about this thread. In my area, diamonds are what you see on every hand so shout out to my gemstone sisters!

Compared to the Bee, I feel like I can never capture a photo of how my ruby looks in real life. Tips are welcome. ❤️

jesspip :  the Deco aqua is my favorite. I love the actual sapphire ring and the detailing but I do wish the stones itself was lighter.

jesspip :  hiya! The middle stone is a smoky quartz; the peachy is a morganite; and the other stone and baguettes are diamonds. they are all stones from rings my husband has gifted me throughout the years, made into my anniversary ring.

noseynat :  Thank you! Ballerina settings were very popular many years ago. They were typically done with baguettes like my ring, or sometimes baguettes with a few rounds. The baguettes are set in a sort of wave with some set lower, some higher. The ring I have is vintage and the baguettes are excellent cut DEFs – incredibly sparkly in any light! My jeweler told me that the baguettes used today are often not as nice because they’re a lot thinner, like slices rather than deeper stones. I suspect that my ring originally had a diamond center, but I love the tourmaline.

WOWZA!!!! 😍😍😍

All of these rings are stunning and such a great variety to drool over!

I have a midnight or twilight blue sapphy and diamonds in 14k WG

I also find it difficult to catch the colors since mine changes so much depending on the light!

sugarbabe :  how big is your ruby setting? I’m looking at getting a curved band to go with my sapphire but I’m scared to order something!

Oh wow I love this board, I’m a sucker for gemstone rings, especially halos.

Here is my emerald (I’ve probably been oversharing, but ah well)

I’ve been suprised at how well it photographs, but it really is difficult to capture the colour and depth of the emerald

OMG I love every ring in this thread and y’all are the reason for my ring obsession…lol. Here are my gemstone rings, left top to bottom:morganite, black blue moissy, & morganite. Right: grape garnet, champagne peach sapphire, & blue sapphire. I’m having the blue taken out and replaced with a padparadascha sapphire.
