somethingabitdifferent :  Thank you! I love both yellow and white gold(I prefer unplated though) But yellow looks way better on my skin.

Here she is — the colour after the recut is beautiful and the second pic shows the inclusions that give it its opacity. 

My jeweler is so impressed he’s going to get some of these rubies as well. The cutter couldn’t believe it was a lab gem.

somethingabitdifferent :  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your ring! We’re almost ring twins. I used to wear mine as an alternate engagement ring, but now I mostly wear it on my right hand. Rubiies represent a lot to me (anniversary month, child’s birthstone, grandmother’s name), so I always wear a piece of jewelry with ruby in it.

mrsroco :  omg the colour is DIVINE !!! Is it a lab ruby??? I love it!!! So many rubies are just too pink for me.. yours is just like mine (but looks much clearer !!). ha.
