I’m considering getting blue sapphires as either accent stones in a three stone ring, or as accents around a round brilliant halo. Do any of you bees regret having added color to your wedding or engagement rings?
Please post pics too, it doesn’t have to just be pics of sapphires.
Also add what persuaded you to decide to get gemstones in your ring. Thanks!

Ruby is my birthstone and I’ve always wanted one. I tried loads of all diamond rings, but I didnt find anything I loved until I added a pop of colour!

I’ve always loved purple and pear shaped jewelery. When my BF and I went to try on rings at a Kay’s, nothing did it for me. Daimonds are pretty, I like wearing them, but this symbolized ”me’ more. Not to mention that it cost way less than if the center stone was diamond!

I have color on my ring! It’s not to your exact specifications, but I believe the side stones are sapphires. (I plan on confirming with a jeweler in a couple of weeks.)
Will be resetting the current stone with this diamond:

This is kind of the reverse of what it seems like you’re thinking (main stone as a diamond with gem accents) about but I couldn’t be happier with my e-ring! Morganite center with full pave diamond band.

I have a yellow sapphire for my center stone and white sapphires for the side stones. My wedding band is all diamonds. I love that my ring has a colored gemstone. I think it makes it more unique than a typical diamond ring. I couldn’t find a picture with my ring and band together. I’m huge and pregnant at the moment so I am only wearing my wedding band so I had to find this old picture.

I’ve got an aquamarine for my center stone – my birthstone and they’re so pretty. Mine’s natural in color so not as blue as people are used to seeing with aquamarines but in some lights it really shows. The diamonds are because what I wanted wasn’t quite good enough for my husband – he bought into the diamond ‘scam’, sucker. I’m glad though, b/c I think they really enhance it. Incidentally of my married cousins, ones wife has an opal and the other an amethyst (same story, her hubby had to add diamonds as well).
