We are team green, so we aren’t finding out.  At my 13 week NT scan, the doctor said that if the baby were upside down instead of sitting upright we would have gotten a clear shot.  I think it depends mostly on your baby’s position.  15 weeks is early, sure, but if the baby is in a good position then it’s possible to see the goods!

We are going team green as well but from what I understand you can get a false reading until the baby actually comes out so no garantees at any point in time.

I voted 17 weeks because that is when it was official but at our 13 weeks scan the tech was sure it was a boy and she was right. We just didn’t believe it because it was so early.

I was told I could get an elective ultrasound at 15-16 weeks if I really couldn’t hold out until my anatomy scan to find out, but I waited.  Found out at 19.5 weeks we’re having a boy!

Apparently they can tell from a blood test (not an amnio) these days…not sure of the details, but it was offered to me.
Gender determination might be possible at 15 weeks…I had an ultrasound at 14 weeks done in the ER (major scare), and they unofficially called boy.  We didn’t announce that, though, until it was confirmed at the 20 week ultrasound.

I was actually at 13 weeks when we learnt the gender.  The doctor said that he was clearly a boy, and she would never usually state until later, but the scan was so clear.  I know we were extremely lucky and that it is very rare to get to find out so soon.

I found out at about 14 and a half weeks so I couldn’t vote either.  But, I had an ultrasound at like 14W3D and it was very clearly a boy.  I think sometimes if it’s a girl they’re a little more hesitant to say “yes, it’s a girl”, but if it’s a boy, there’s really no mistaking it!

@Candy_Nee:  This is exactly what I was told – my doctor said she would never confirm it was a girl until much later, because it could be just the way the baby lies that you can’t see anything.  But when he’s sitting there flashing his crown jewels, there’s not much mistaking.
