My husband and I did it, we have Kaiser and our insurance covered it 100%.

ADiamondInTheRough:  I had it done and had to pay for t in full because of my deductible. I think it ended up being $600 or so. I believe it would have been covered though had I met my deductible. You should call your insurance company first to check because it is quite costly.

Definitely check w your insurance before you do the testing (if you decide you want to). A lot of insurance companies only cover genetic testing if there is a precedent or history. For some, the fact that you’re both Jewish would count but for some, not. Or they’ll cover it only if you get a preauthorization first. And as has been said, it can be really expensive. Ours was almost 2k I think if we would have paid out of pocket.
