I live in North Georgia and the weather is nice most of the year. My fiance and I are trying to decide a good month to get married and are thinking of March…
Has anyone had a wedding in March in Georgia???
Is March a rainy month?
Pros and Cons of a wedding in March?
All of your answers are greatly appreciated!

@lomo6: I’m in Augusta and we had a nice March. Not too cold, not too hot. The beginning was pleasant. Except we had a LOT of rain these past few weeks!

I’m in northeast Alabama so of course Georgia gets our weather a few hours later 🙂 This March was super nice. Great temperatures for most of it. But you do have to remember that March is tornado season which means chance of storms, of course. But honestly, you risk storms almost any time.

I had my wedding on March 20 in Atlanta. I think you have to take a chance on March weather in Georgia. The day of of our wedding it was sunny and not very cold or hot, it was perfect weather in my opinion. However, the day after it was rainy and cold.
My wedding was indoor so I am not as worried about weather situation. If you are doing outdoor wedding (in any month, not just March) , definitely plan to have a back up plan. Nobody can predict the weather so have a plan in case it rains/snows/gets cold is essential.
On the other hand, I think you may find that certain venues/vendors will give you a better rate because March is not a peak wedding month in Atlanta. I plan and coordinate weddings so I know. 🙂
Hope this helps.

its rainy, and if you have allergies the pollen is the worst! the weather is nice and cool though, maybe mid 60s

It’s rainy, allergy season is starting, and there’s a chance it could be cold. On the plus side you’ll get a good deal on a venue because it’s outside of the regular Georgia wedding season.
