I am posting as a shout out to all you brides-to-be……GET A VIDEO!!!! 🙂
I am a newlywed and we recieved our video yesterday. I can now saw that getting the video was the single best thing we did in our wedding. Best choice EVER!
I didn’t think we could afford one but I was insprired by Mrs. Joeys thrifty deals that she found on craigslist. I followed her advice and took and chance and posted that I was looking for someone on the cheap.
I received a bunch of replied…one from the people we used. I am SO impressed with how well our video turned out. It makes me realize how imporant this is and how much I will cherish it.
Pics only show you so much. I now have a video that shows me with my grandfather, or me dancing with my mother. All sorts of other things I didn’t see during the day…or things I forgot. Funny moments…touching moments. This is something I will cherish forever.
I just want to share my perspective from “the other side”….from someone who has already been there.
Mrs. Avacado once said her biggest regret was not getting a video. Learn from her…and learn from me….GET A VIDEO! It is so worth it!
And don’t think that just because you don’t have thousands of dollars you can’t get one. We scored a $1,000 package for only $300. And now I have something to treasure for a lifetime
Do it! Do it ! Do it! 🙂

Our video came out crappy (the vendor wound up refunding the money after lots of strife), but I’m still happy to be able to hear us say our vows, and have a record of the toasts and stuff.

IM AGREEING WITH YOU ALL BRIDES SHOULD HAVE A VIDEO! You can relive your wedding day any day you want. The cost is worth it! We got ours the next day. Our videographer had so much fun at our wedding he edited it all til 2 in the morning and gave it to us the next day. I cant wait to watch it this weekend with my Dad. We also did a surprise dance to Soulja Boy and he had that on Youtube and we have it forever now!

my dad totally paparazzi style filmed everything, so i’m sure we’ll get a nice video back! I hate myself on vid, though, so I probably will just rewatch the vows and the dances and toasts.

We had to wait 4 long months….actually more like 4.5. But it was SO worth it. I have watched the video atleast 5 times in the past day….I am I SO HAPPY!!! 🙂

we didn’t get a video (pro anyway, we had tons of people video-ing) and i don’t want to knock anyone’s amazing video experience, but honestly, maybe i am boring but i don’t know if i would care to watch myself get married on a video more than once…hehe. =)

I think some of us are a little more extroverted haha
Sadly…anyone who knows me will say “oh yeah…she would love to watch a video of herself!” haha
But honestly…..what I find to be the MOST special is all the people who were in the film. Im standing with my grandpa as he gives me (a VERY RARE) kiss on the cheek. I see my mom and grandpa dancing at the wedding. I see our little neices and nephews. Someday people will die…and little ones will grow up. To have everyone captured on film is so special.
I know years from now…when all our parents are long gone, we will treasure this video.
But…at the same time…it’s still a little embaressing to watch myself on film haha
