Under 21 for just a little while longer! I’ll have my birthday a little over a week after our wedding. I’ll be celebrating in Jamaica. πŸ™‚

Marrying my high school sweetheart almost 6 years to the date. Engaged on our third year anniversary. He’s currently in medical school, I’ll be starting law school.

I want to have a 50 and 75 year anniversary. In case anyone’s wondering why I want to be married under the age of 25.

Hey ladies! I’m new around here and thought I’d introduce myself. I’ll actually be 21 by our wedding (oh I planned that too haha we’re having a Vegas wedding) and Fiance will be 23 in July. We started dating November 28th, 2005 and have been together ever since. In 2010 I found out I was pregnant and we had our daughter in September and May of 2011 he asked me to marry him on Mother’s Day. Of course I said yes! We have been through so much together and I’m pretty excited to say I’ll be marrying my High School sweetheart. It’s nice to meet you all! Here is a picture of us and then our daughter.

And then a picture of all 3 of us at our daughter’s 1st birthday last year. πŸ™‚

I’m 20, SO is 38 but we each thought the other was about 25 when we met and by the time we knew the age difference it didn’t matter anymore! I’m from the UK but came over to New Zealand on a gap year with a friend. Met my SO about 2 years ago now, after 3 months we found out we were expecting (despite 3 different kinds of prevention!) and now have a 4 month old daughter. Despite the fact it wasn’t planned we’re all extremely happy. We’re not engaged as such but we’re goin back to the UK for him to meet my family soon and my mother let slip he’d rang her with hints of waiting to talk to them about it first to see if they approve – bit late as we have a child but hey! I’m a stay at home mum at the moment but we’re saving to put down for our own business. SO is a beekeeper and I’m good with business management so we’re planning on working for ourselves not too far in the future.
Though I’m very happy, I miss my friends at home and haven’t found it very easy making close friends here and I’m used to being social!

@jazmynxo:  Awwww, what a beautiful family!

Time to introduce myself! (Brace yourself, I tend to ramble.) I’m glad I found this thread. I’m 20 (will be 22 @ wedding) and Fiance is 24 (will be 25). We’ve been together for 4ish years now. We met at work – I worked at a PacSun at the mall (haha, classy!) for almost all of high school. He was actually my manager – only briefly though! We didn’t start dating until looong after that. (This was in the DC area, where our families live.)

About a year after we started dating, I moved to Chicago for college and a few months later, he began his Air Force enlistment. Yikes! We knew that staying together would be difficult but we wouldn’t have had it any other way. The first year SUCKED – no contact AT ALL for those first 2 months of training, followed by occasional (and very expensive) weekend visits every few months. Things slowly got easier once he was able to start taking leave.

Anyways, almost 2 years into his enlistment (last fall), he was spending 2 weeks in Chicago with me, and he proposed! It was completely unexpected – we had talked about getting engaged/married, of course, and about the ring, but I didn’t expect it that trip at all! I thought maybe the following year (this year). We always knew we didn’t want to have the wedding until I graduate (next year).

Sooo, here we are, planning for a summer 2013 DC area wedding! He’s been stationed in Montana for almost 2 years now, and I’m still in Chicago. Things have been SOOO much easier though, because he finally has moved off base, which means I can come spend huge chunks of time there for significantly less money (we used to spend $1000+ between airfare and hotel just for a weekend every 3-4 months, whereas now if we time the airfare right we spend $400ish for much longer and more frequent trips).

I am so excited for our future! This summer, I’m spending all of May and August in Montana with him. I’ll be starting my senior year (!) in the fall and graduating in May. Then it’s back to DC for me to get everything ready for the wedding! After that, I’m moving to Montana with him for the last 6 months of his enlistment, and then we are “free,” lol, probably moving home to DC. Then hopefully law school for me, and who knows what else!

It definitely feels like I’m at an entirely different place in my life than most of my friends my age – I’m sure you guys can relate!

I am so glad I found this blog! It is so good to find out that there are plenty of other young brides out there these days. I am 19 and so is my fiancé although he will be 20 September for our October wedding. We got engaged last July and of course he being the good country boy he is he asked my parents first. I’m dropping out of college for now because I have no clue what I want to do anymore. He is a butcher and has beenever since he graduated high school. Even though we are young we are very excited to become husband and wife and start a family together.

I suppose I should introduce myself somewhere, and here seems rather appropriate (‘waiting’ would work too though…)

I’m 19, he’s 23 and we are not engaged (although the ring has been bought :). We met building/fighting lego sumo robots in a Uni class. and are both studying Engineering. (He is a year ahead of me though). We have been dating for almost 1.5 years.

Lets see… we are planning to DIY practically the ENTIRE wedding (music, flowers, decor, food (potluck), making our own cake). And the ‘planner’ in me wants him to propose just so that I can start officially planning and making things. We are currently taking cake-making/decorating classes together. We are both huge gamers (anyone else play League of Legends?), and I (we? she was mine when we met, but I think she likes him more than me now…) have a little dog. We also live together, but with parents. Basically we just camp out at each-other’s houses and switch who’s parents we are with very so often so as to spread the financial pain out a bit.

Oh, and we both dance West Coast Swing. Its fun πŸ™‚

So… Thats me. Hi. *waves*

I’m 20 and FH is 24. We will be 21 and 25 when we get married. We met when I was 16 and he was 20 (Feb 2008) through mutual friends and for a few months we tried to be just friends but I think we both knew what we had was really special.

I found out I was pregnant with our daughter just after I turned 17 (Jan 2009) and she was born in August 2009. We bought our own home in Dec 2010 when I was 18 years old. And we also have a son born in April 2011.

We’ve done everything really early but I wouldn’t have it any other way, we will have our mortgage paid off and the kids will have left home before I even turn 40.

It’s so cool to hear from so many other young brides and brides to be.

I was 21 when this thread was started. Do I still count? Or is 22 too ancient now?

Well, I’m going to tell you about us anyway.

I’m 22 and Fiance is 33. We got engaged after 3 months of dating (yeah, we know). I’m a Stay-At-Home Mom mom and student, Fiance works as a manager and works part time at B&BW (yes, I get free product, hehe), we live in VA and I plan on moving in with him after I graduate college in July of next year, I’m a cosmetologist in the making, I have a 2.5 year old daughter and he has an 8 year old son (both from previous relationships).

We are both nerds, like good food, love movies and music, and we’re both into LARP and going to sci fi, etc. conventions. Laughing

thank you for this thread. I hate how I cant even post in the 20something threads. I am 18 but I have been through a lot in life and I feel I am more mature than my age also. I have lived on my own since I was 16 and before that I basically had to raise myself. I worked three jobs at once to support myself. I think there is a lot of stigma with age that is ridiculus. It is not your age it is how you cary yourself and who you really are.

I fit this to! I love this thread! Im 20 and Fiance is 21. I’m a cosmetologist and he went to school for diesel mechanics but is currently working as a mold, fire, and water restoration technician. I agree with PP’s about wanting to be a housewife in the worst way but i still wan tto do hair out of my home if possible. We are getting married next friday!! EEK 8 days!!! And we are both so excited! We were only together for 6 months when we got engaged and we only had a 4 month engagement so we have been together less than a year (yeah i know) but we knew the first day we met that it was meant to be πŸ™‚ as corny as that sounds lol I actually was in a long term relationship the day we met and I fell in love instantly (it sounds really bad but my previous relationship was a bad one anyways) because I met him, i finally got the courage to leave my ex so I could pursue this wonderful man I had met on accident πŸ™‚ It took a while for him to agree to date me since he was always one who wanted to get to know the girl for a while before dating lol but 3 weeks later we were dating and then the rest of the story i already told πŸ™‚ we are currently TTC after having a miscarriage in march πŸ™ trying not to get discouraged since we know it can take a while! just enjoying life right now!!

Hi! Both me and my SO are 20 years old and are planning to get engaged after college in a few years. No, we don’t have a wedding date. No, we’re not even engaged yet, but I do have a promise ring and he’s told me that we’d be engaged after college.

We’ve been together for over 2 years and for half of our relationship, we’ve been long distance. The first time we were apart was when we went to different colleges our freshmen year. Then we went to the same college our sophomore year, and now this summer (right now) I’ve moved to Pennsylvania and he is still in Missouri. I’ll be going back to school with him until we graduate, but holidays and summers will definitely suck without him there.

This is my first week on wedding bee and I am loving it. πŸ™‚

There’s so many wonderful women on this website and so many wonderful tips for an upcoming wedding in my future! When I’m finally engaged, I’ll know where to look first. πŸ˜‰

Well, I’m not technically under 21. I’m exactly 21, however my hubby(we are already married, but having a larger wedding to include our families) is only 20! I used to think it was a big deal, being married to someone younger than myself, but I’m used to it by now, and here, in the state of Texas, he is legal to drink because he’s married to someone 21 or older, which I think is pretty awesome.

We are both active duty military, and met while deployed to Afghanistan, started dating in Russia, on the way back from Afghan, and got married in a court house during our lunch break from work a couple months later. Currently stationed in Fort Hood, Texas and having our big wedding in Austin when hubby returns from his deployment in January 2014, so we still have a while to plan.

Of course, I’m obsessed with weddings and am going to plan the entire thing before it’s even 2013, but there’s nothing wrong with that! That’s enough for now!
