    The dress motivates me.  I know that may seem shallow but if I can make myself just a little bit better (I’m plus sized) then I’ll be happy and it’ll be worth it.  Plus I want to be in a great shape for after the wedding so I can conceive more easily.

    I encourage you to look into Couch to 5K.  There are some threads on it here and I saw some results before I quit.  It helps my apartment complex, although jenky, has a work out facility as does my college but it’s always packed in there.

    Before the wedding, I was seeing a personal trainer twice a week.  It was about $250 a month, I think but worth it because I had very limited time to work out.

    Hah, moving to DC motivated me. This is a city of darn skinny women!

    Actually, seeing my arms look lumpy in our engagement pictures was a pretty big motivator too. I’ve been doing Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred for a few weeks now (I’ve missed twice, once because I was having a really bad day and once because of stomach flu) and am already noticing a bit of a change in my arms (appearance wise) and a lot of change in how I feel – besides the ache the first week, I feel GREAT now!

    I do the home workout thing, mainly for my own good. I’m small to begin with and I’m too cheap for a gym or trainer, so I stick to free, highly effective exercizes like calisthenics and running. Feeling blah or jiggly is enough motivation for me, haha.

    I am doing zumba and cardio right now, but I still cant seem to lose my baby belly. So when it’s 4 months before the wedding and I havent lost the weight I want and havent toned my arms, then I will probably hire a personal trainer to get me on the right track.

    For me I am trying to get in better shape and joining a gym with workout classes works for me. I like having gym access and using the machines, but the classes help keep me interested. I’ve been doing some Zumba and spinning classes. With DVDs I get bored. I also go with a friend of mine, so that helps because we motivate and encourage each other to go.

    I actually had a meltdown while shopping last week- mind you, I was in Forever 21, but that is beside the point.  I called one of my BMs, who is a trainer at a gym, and asked if she could help a sista out and PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD write me an easy to follow, short but sweet, workout plan.  I’m starting today!  Wish me luck!

    I have a gym membership, have i used it in the last 6 months… UM NO.

    But Im starting to feel the crunch as I hit the 60 day mark!! EEEEK

    so I am starting with this fat free ranch dressing on my salad (ewww)we will see how my energy goes from here.

    I’ve done all of the above – but mainly because I have workout ADD. If I do anything too much, I get bored. The only one I’m not still doing is the personal training thing – it was part of my budget cuts.

    But I actually have 4 gym memberships because I teach at 2 different gyms, just joined FH gym because of a great couples’ deal and am waiting for my other gym membership to expire in November. So right now I get to go “who has the best class today?” and pick a different gym each time!

    I do mostly home workouts – running, taking the dog for walk, workout videos – but during the school year I can take free classes at the local gym, so I plan on taking advantage of that!

    I put an add on craigslist for a running/exercise buddy.  It took a couple of weeks, but I found someone great!  When you make an appt. to exercise with someone it’s a lot harder to decide that you just don’t feel like doing it.  Good luck!

    I have an eliptical at home i try to use for 5 mins a day.

    I use the elliptical at home for 30 mins a day or 500 calories. I just also started taking yoga classes (only $10 a class) to get something other than cardio into my workout. I was also getting really bored with the routine.
