i wish i had some of the others but I’m a 5’5″ and a size 20. Getting photographed from slightly above always does wonders

Here are some of mine. I was so nervous that I completely forgot the poses I had practiced! But everyone says they are wonderful. A good photographer will help you with posing.

Subscribing topic – I am a full figured bride and looking for e-pic ideas too. <3

Being photographed from above always works!
Posing slightly behind your fiance is another option, but don’t use it more than a couple of times, because then it might seem like you are trying to hide 🙂
Most of all, don’t be afraid to relax and be silly. You will look great if you are being yourself 🙂

I love looking at these pics! Everyone looks so good! I am also plus size and I carry my weight in my belly. I figured that I could either hide it, or just embrace it and be myself. So I chose to embrace my chubb. Here are a couple.

- Wedding: March 2012 - Pelican Grand Beach Resort
Hopefully, your photographer will be able to direct you well, but some general advice
-no photos from an upward angle
-always lengthen your neck and draw your chin up just a bit by sticking your head forward and turn your head just slightly so that no shot is direct full on to your face
-always stand so that one hip pops out a bit to giv eyour body a curve
-never put your arms down at the side of your body; put your hands on your hips if your man isn’t there for you to wrap your arms around
-pull your sholders back to stand a little taller; this will probably make you naturally draw your stomach in some and push your ribs and chest out a bit without actually pushing your boobs in everyone’s face
-try to wait for that moment when the camera is going to snap to smile so that your smile looks natural

A couple things;
-Play with your angles. Very few plus size ladies look great from the direct side view (myself included)
-Don’t let your arms/legs smush. In other words hold your arms slightly away from your body making them look thinner. Same goes for your leg/thighs. For sitting poses never allow them to smush but rather hold them up slightly…again making them look thinner.
Best of luck!
