So, there is this giant Tacori billboard near the “errand” stores that my boyfriend and and I visit every weekend (Target, grocery etc). This past weekend, I noticed that it changed, and said, sort of wistfully “sad, they took down the shiny ring that I liked”.
Now, I’m not exactly quiet about being antsy. I think we go through the “when are we getting engaged?” conversation once a week. (It’s all playfull, though, I really do hope I don’t come off as sort of a nag). Instead of ignoring the comment (I’ve often pointed out this billboard), or making a funny remark, he said “well, you’ll have something shiny soon enough”.
Of COURSE I didn’t take this comment lightly, and I followed up with “do you have my ring?!” and the answer was “Well, it’s on it’s way”.
Ahh!!! I’m all too excited about this. Any bees out there experience (or experiencing) a similar situation?! What do you do to keep from bouncing off the walls?

I would certainly be bouncing off the walls! That’s exciting news!
I’m so glad we don’t have a Tacori billboard nearby, I’d spend way too much time driving by it!

I’m going nuts too.
My boyfriend and I have been dating for 4.5 years now. We talk about getting married all the time. We started looking at rings about 6 months ago, and I’m pretty sure he has the ring now. He keeps saying that it’s going to happen soon. I wish is was sooner rather than later. I just started grad school and I’m carrying 9 credits, so life is about to get REAL crazy. I want to be able to enjoy getting engaged, rather than it just be one more thing on the list.
I’m just trying to keep myself as occupied as possible… and that does not include being on here a lot right now (the planning boards, not the waiting board.) I found that the planning boards make me a little crazy.
I’ve been cleaning a lot, taking naps, looking online at healthy recipes instead of rings and such.

Congratulations! Oh my gosh, there is nothing more exciting than hearing that right about now, huh?! Yes, I am bouncing off the walls. My SO is SUPER quiet when engagement is brought up because he wants it to be a COMPLETE surprise, so my mind is going at a constant rate of 130 MPH. 😛 Mr. Bee calls me “Wifey” “Fiance” and has told me that I will be engaged before I know it, and he’s sort of hinted that by the end of the year we’ll be engaged.
We were at a high-scale mall that we went to with a friend, and he drug me into Tiffany’s and was looking at solitaire diamond rings. He’s explained to me that he thinks an engagement ring should absolutely be a beautiful diamond solitaire, so was he looking at potential rings!? Maybe he plans on proposing aroun my birthday (November 17th) or Christmas time. I’ve been trying to keep my mind, and mouth, off of the subject, but it’s just so exciting!
