After some issues, I’m finally ready to start planning again.
So so my dad has offered to help with deposits which I’m so happy because if we could get our date secured then i would not worry as much. We live in Atlanta and I’m having trouble finding budget options here. My real dream is a beach wedding. I’ve found a beach house that allows weddings it will be about 2500 for the weekend. We want to keep everything else as diy as possible. I’m not finding too many venues that allow that in ATL.
do you guys think we’ll be able to do a dw for under 5K or should I dig a little deeper in atl?

Figuring out destination wedding cost can be difficult. Here is a tool that helps you estimate your destination wedding cost https://destify.com/destination-wedding-calculator/. It shows varying option and location since all are factors in total cost.

It depends a lot on what you mean by destination wedding. Are you paying for travel? A rental car? Local vendors? Is it a small enough town they’ll charge a premium for things like cake and flowers?
Do you have a plan for photography? What about food?
Venue, photography, and food are typically the three most expensive elements of any wedding. Unless you have resources for catering and photography you might be cutting it close.
Another consideration is how many guests are you planning on. If you’re going small – less than 20 people, I think you can pull it off for less than $5k. If you have more guests than that, it starts to get hard.
Whatever the case, I vote for having the wedding you want. If a beach ceremony is your dream, do that. Compromise elsewhere.

Is it 2.5k for just the venue? If so I think you’ll struggle to keep it at 5k even with a small amount of guests. I guess it depends on how much you’re willing to cut to stick to the budget.
I do think half of the budget is too much for the venue alone though, personally.
