I’ve been thinking about getting some boudoir photos taken, and so I’ve been looking around on here to get advice and ideas.
It occurs to me, though, that these pictures will probably be more for me than for my husband. I really don’t know what he’d end up doing with them…maybe look at them every once in awhile? I’m not sure. I’ve mentioned the idea before, and he seemed to think it was an odd idea. Certainly I can’t see us ever sharing these with anyone else! So it seems a little silly to get these photos that no one but my husband or I would ever look at.
But I still want to get them done. I want the motivation to get myself some sexy clothes. I want to be able to see myself as sexy (the older I get, the less I feel that way about myself, unfortunately). I want to have them for when I’m a LOT older and my body doesn’t look as good as it does now, to be able to reminisce, I suppose. And in the end, if he ends up liking them, too, well that’s a bonus.
For those of you who have or who plan to get bpix done, how did all of this factor into your decision – did you get the photos taken more for yourself or for your SO? And were you happy with the results (and the time/money you spend on them)?

A mixture of both for me!
My guy is ALWAYS taking photos of me when I’m getting dress and they are the most unflattering things EVER!
He says he likes having them to look at, but I’d much prefer him to have some GOOD pictures of me.
This is going to be the biggest surprise ever – he won’t expect it for one moment. The company I’m going to do naughty/nice pics and they’re so elegant and classic.
They’re put into an ArtBook and printed directly onto the page. I’m going to give him the book the night before the wedding (so he isn’t all tense the next morning!) and hopefully he’ll have that thought in his head when he sees me walking down the aisle.
He’s Italian – has sex on the brain 24/7 – so he will love this more than anything.
(eta: they’re £500 for the pics and album – i think they’ll be worth every penny.)

I’d say for me, it was a 50/50 split. I was a size 16 when I met my husband, and on the wedding day, I was a size 10, so part of it was to celebrate my weight loss success and part was for him to enjoy.
He had been asking me for sexy photos for a long time since he goes out of town for work a lot. I always refused. I think all he was expecting was a cell phone quality picture, but when he got the pro photos, he told me it was the best gift he ever received and raved about it for weeks!
