I want to do a good facebook purge again. Some people are posting waaaaaay too often and it’s annoying. plus there was a recent influx of high school people that requested me, i friended them to see what they have been up to, and now i’m sick of their updates LOL.

For me, I only delete people if it is someone I literally never talk to. If people have deleted me, I never even notice because I rarely talk to anyone on there anymore.

Dont take it personally.

I don’t get people who get upset by that, unless it’s an friend, family member, or someone you see in real life and have a relationship with, who cares, in the grand scheme of things it’s not going really effect your life. Just brush off and move on it’s a waste of time and emotion on something that not important.

Hey my mother deleted me off facebook and it’s because I don’t do what she orders me to do anymore. I thought it was hysterical because she probably thought I gave a damn. It’s 1’s and 0’s, I really don’t care if you add or delete me, be my guest.

Some people take it really personally. Like my sister. I was posting stuff about my grief with my family and my sister commented “You gotta love people who air all their ISSUES on facebook.” So I deleted her. She callls me up two weeks later in full blown sobbing hysterics. “How could you do this to me?! I’ve never done anything to you!!!” Then when I told her how she hasn’t supported me, the subject was dropped pretty quick.

I’ve now deleted all my family off facebook and am free to post whatever the hell I want 😀 It’s quite fun! But yeah I only have people I’ve seen in person or known very well online as my facebook friends. I have no desire to have people I don’t know knowing my business.

Honestly, I can’t even tell when people delete me, unless one day I specifically think about them and look them up and discover I’m no longer a friend. With all of the new developments they’ve put in place, it’s really hard to tell since you don’t see all the updates from everyone. I don’t get offended. (Now if it was someone I talk to every day, then I would be offended.)

I can’t say I’ve ever noticed if someone deleted me.  I never delete people, just hide their posts though.  Probably have a pretty long list of those!

If it was a super close friend or family member, I might be a little concerned and want to clear the air. But anybody else? Nah, don’t care. I delete people all the time who say annoying things, and if I get on somebody’s nerves, they can go ahead and delete me, too.

LOL I forgot that my ex-roommate deleted me off Facebook WHILE WE STILL LIVED TOGETHER. She fucked up (bounced lots of rent checks, was supposed to pay the electric bill and only paid what I gave her without telling me that she was only paying half of the bill) and then stopped talking to me, deleted me and blocked me on Facebook, etc.

That is true! I usually don’t notice when someone deletes me but I just happened to check and saw “Add As Friend” on my mom’s page. Sooooo juvenile. I thought she was the elder?

@ilybride52513:  nope..who gives a shit, its just facebook. If someone is deleting you its likely you barely talk to them anyways.

I am rarely on facebook to even notice. If they do delete me, then its probably someone that either…..

A) Deleted their own account, people often do this during breakups

                                      -or-

B) Wasn’t important to begin with.
